LATEST FEATURES Being A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

I wasn't allowed to talk about the new Infinity Ward game last week when I met with Activision, and I don't have much to say now that Xbox One spilled the beans.

Spec Ops The Line Headlines PlayStation Plus For March

Posted on Monday, March 4 @ 10:37:49 Eastern by Keri_Honea

The PlayStation blog just announced the PlayStation Plus lineup for March, and it's a heavy hitter to be sure. To start off, Spec Ops: The Line, one game I haven't shut up about since E3 2012, is free for PlayStation Plus members and discounted at $39.99 for regular members. If you're a PS+ member and you've starved your life by not playing this game, correct this detriment, as soon as it becomes available.

Also for free this month includes Joe Danger 2, The Cave, Tekken 6, and Disagaea 3: Absence of Detention for the Vita.

The free games start dropping in on March 5th, and several PlayStation Plus games will be dropping out starting that date as well. In other words, log into the PSN today and make sure you have everything available for the Instant Game Collection that you want.

Sweet! I could use a nice FPS game. Also, anyone wanna fight me in Tekken 6 when it's available?

I believe Spec Ops is a TPS. Hopefully they will all be available tomorrow on the 5th

Oh right, third-person shooter. I'm sure it will be fun to play anyways.

I really don't like 3rd person shooters, but I genuinely loved Spec Ops.

The PS3 needs a good shooter, so I'm hoping this will suffice. Dust 514 doesn't satisfy my shooter craving.

I only paid five bucks for the PC version. It was worth about that much. The mechanics aren't bad, the environments are pretty sweet, but the story just beats you over the head. Subtle is not the word for this one.

Can someone reiterate how PS+ works please? Is it a yearly/monthly subscription thing that grants you free games (that you can keep) at regular intervals?

This may very well be a deciding factor between next-gen PS/XBOX when the time comes... free games are a great way to open up horizons without spending 'extra' cash; going in blind/sight unseen can return pleasant surprises!

    Subscribe to PS+.
Download free games, including instant game collection.
Play free games until subscription runs out.
    No more free games.
However, games bought that were discounted by PS+ remain yours.

Just think of PS+ as kinda like Netflix; totally worth it.

    I don't think subtlety is a prerequisite for a well-told story.
