Special Edition Pokemon X & Y 3DS XL Models Announced

Posted on Wednesday, September 4 @ 07:57:46 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

If you still have not yet purchased a 3DS XL and want to pick one up in time for the release of Pokémon X & Y, you may want to grab one of the newly-announced Pocket Monsters-themed versions of Nintendo's handheld hardware.

As you can see in the image above, the device will come in two flavors: red and blue. This special edition console will release on September 27th in both North America and Europe. Sadly, it doesn't look like it will come with a copy of the game pre-installed. For shame.

Will you be picking up one of these Pokémon-themed 3DS XLs in preparation of X & Y's October launch? Comment below and let us know!
