Square Enix Adjusts Financial Forecast In Lieu Of FFXIV’s Surprising Success

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Rebornhas managed to exceed the expectations of Square Enix, causing the publisher to adjust its financial forecast for the end of the year.
The original projection was set at¥59 billion ($598 million), but has since been revised to¥61.7 billion ($626 million). Not only that, but the company was initially expecting to incur an operating loss of¥2 billion ($20 million), but instead expects to have an operating profitof ¥4.7 billion ($48 million).
The future looks promising for the publisher as well, with titles likeKingdom Hearts III,Final Fantasy XV, andThief,as well as a newHitmanandSleeping Dogson the horizon.
