Square Enix Announces Drakengard 3, Deadly Premonition Dev At The Helm

Posted on Wednesday, March 13 @ 12:45:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Square Enix has just pulled back the curtain on its third entry in the Drakengard franchise. Known in Japan as Drag-On Dragoon 3, this Access Games-developed title will star a female lead named Zero and her younger sister, One. Zero has some sort of song-induced magical power that she uses to her advantage. Sounds cool, I guess.

The news was revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu (via Gematsu) and one of the handful of magazine scans can be seen above. As one might expect from a Drakengard game, this third installment features fast-paced action in both the air and on the ground below.

The game is approximately 60% complete and will be released as a PlayStation 3 title. For additional updates, including possible Western release information, keep it locked to GameRevolution.
