Square Enix Bringing New Dragon Quest Game To North America?

Square Enix has registered a trademark for "The Seeds of Salvation" in the United States, adding fuel to the fiery hope that a newDragon Questtitle will be localized for western gamers.

Last year, the publisher registered the same trademark in Japan, andSiliconerasuggests that this name is quite possibly the subtitle of a new entry in the iconic JRPG franchise. It has been a long time since gamers outside of Japan have gotten a properDragon Questgame, so a release like this sure would be welcomed by fans of the genre.

Of course, we can only speculate at this point, so temper your expectations. Who knows? Maybe it'll end up being some cheap smartphone game built around microtransactions.... Just don't get your hopes up.
