Square Enix Confirms Tomb Raider Sequel In Development

Posted on Thursday, August 1 @ 11:12:43 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

The Tomb Raider franchise will live on into the next generation, as Square Enix has confirmed that a sequel to Crystal Dynamics' 2013 release is currently underway.

CEO Phil Rogers made the news official in an open letter. "I am also excited to reveal that we are well into development on a next-generation Tomb Raider sequel – something you may have heard about recently," he said.

That's all we know right now, but it's more than enough to have me excited for the future of the series. What improvements do you hope to see in the sequel thanks to the power of new hardware? Let us know in the comments below.
