Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it
By Starling

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Square Enix Gets A Phoenix Down

Posted on Friday, November 4 @ 12:24:27 Eastern by

Despite a 15.5% drop in net sales over the last six months, ending September 30, Square-Enix has reported that it has nearly doubled its net income from the same period last year.

Square-Enix thanks Eidos Montreal-developed Deus Ex: Human Revolution for helping tremendously with 2.18 million units shipped as well as better returns on mobile platforms and social-networking games. Dungeon Siege III also shipped 820,000 units and the (unfortunately) Japan-only Dragon Quest 25th Anniversary package shipped 350,000 units.

Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada says that this fiscal period was a "rebuilding year" (a self-cast Regen?), and they plan to create "10 major IPs", completely retool the slip-up that was Final Fantasy XIV Online, and follow through with its "Winter of RPGs" campaign on PlayStation Network that will see rereleases of Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI starting November 6th.

    10 new IPs?

So five new Final Fantasy and five new (HANDHELD) Kingdom Hearts games. Right.

How about some more of those non-FF, big budget, JRPGs. Granted, they can't all be like Chrono Trigger or Xenogears, but surely they can do better than The Last Remnant. The most recent JRPG I actually enjoyed was Lost Odyssey, and that wasn't even a Square Enix game.

I know this maybe blasphemy, but I wish they’d put Final Fantasy out to pasture, and focus on something as ground breaking as the first FF was.

I feel they havent fully understood the definition of the word final. Yet their countries children are still doing better in school than ours.
