Star Wars 1313 Reportedly Coming To Current-Gen Consoles

It looks like Star Wars 1313 may be coming to current-generation platforms after all, despite its jaw-dropping footage which led us to believe quite the contrary.

On the German PlayStation Facebook page (via NeoGAF), new images for the game have been added, along with a descriptor that reads: "Star Wars 1313 erscheint 2013 für PlayStation 3." In case you don't speak German, the statement translates to English as: "Star Wars 1313 releases in 2013 for Playstation 3."

We still have yet to hear from LucasArts what platforms the game will be coming to, so we can't confirm anything just yet. That said, what do you think about the possibility of Star Wars 1313 coming to current-gen hardware? I can assure you that if the game does come to the PS3 and Xbox 360, it won't look as amazing as the footage we've seen previously.

    I'm not a big Star Wars fan, but I will say this title interests me. It would be cool if it released on current gen, at least for me, otherwise I wouldn't be playing it for quite some time. It might be that they plan on releasing for both, but this is just crazy, rampant speculation on my part.

    It certainly is possible. They would definitely reach a much larger audience that way.

    Probably gonna look that good on PC so who cares! DX11 Star Wars? One can only hope.

    Bah, I hope its for next gen consoles. Modern consoles are getting stale. Maybe I just need to get a gaming PC again... I haven't had one since college, and the old macbook ain't exactly a powerhouse.

    Considering that graphics are this game's only feature that elicits any real interest, it would be a mistake to release it on current gen hardware (PC gaming aside, obviously).
