Played the beta, the voice acting was the stand out amazing part of this game as it enhanced the story telling and really makes you pay attention to what's going on in the world itself. Combat was solid and the combat animations flowed better than any MMO I've played to date.

If you play MMOs, highly suggested!

Right, too expensive. 78$ for 6 months of a single game, plus the base price means I could buy Battlefield 3 and DXHR or Diablo 3 or any other 2 new games for the same price. For a Year of star wars that's 3 new games. Costs to much, not worth it.

Maybe to you but if people are willing to spend $13-15 per month on it then it's probably the right price. Not me though... too expensive for my blood.

If you're not into mmo's it's definitely not worth it. For the people that do though it's the same price. The price is appropriate for the product.

Too expensive?? People drop money on 2,3,4 "map packs" for an annual franchise game every.single.time. They give 'new content' for games .... TWO months after release, sometimes earlier. Games are now released unfinished and then charge you extra for the polish like additional quests or storylines that should have been released in the original sale of the game. My favorite money grab is the re-release of content from previous games that you've already paid for!

Have fun with your real cash auction house in Diablo 3.

I don't buy map packs, but I will buy DLC IF it seems reasonable. Fallout 3 and New Vegas for example are solid games without DLC; it serves to enhance a decent game.

You mean teh real cash auction house you DONT have to use? and isnt any different from what already went on in diablo 2? as for the content you already paid for part, you paid for it in game a, doesnt mean you get it in game b, thats like expecting to get a ps3 and wii version of a game when you buy the 360 one.

as for the released unfinished part, simply dont buy them, its as simple as that, wait for the goty pacj to come out and poof suddenly you have your "complete" game at half the price.

Bootcamp or something else? There are lots of ways around it if they really want to play it. After being in the beta I know for a fact that there are mac users that found a way to play it.

Even after playing the beta, which feels a lot different than other MMOs I've played, and is a lot of fun; I agree, KoToR III would have been a guaranteed purchase for me. I'm not really sure I want to sink a ton of money into this game. Awesome Star Wars game or not, real life makes sinking a lot of time and money into a game seem foolish. If I was 15, this would be a no brainer, but almost a decade older, while I could certainly afford it, spending so much time in a game is not something I am comfortable with anymore.

WoW just got so damn boring for me. I played since the first summer it came out, and quit about 5-6 times before finally saying enough. Everytime I played, it just never was consistently fun. If I get this, it will only be for a short time, til I've satisfied my need to slaughter innocents in the name of the Sith.

damn, i'm really tempted to get it. Unfortunately, I don't have a real solid income (though I guess I am a TA right now and probably will again next semester). The problem with MMOs for me is if I'm paying for the month, I'd damn well better play the game. And I'm not sure I'll have the time considering how busy school has been.

TA could be a pretty sweet gig for that though... when I was in school the ta's had access to install what they wanted on the lab comps. Get your time playing while you work =P

I would have paid 15 a month if it had Jedi Knight 3 combat, but no, its just a generic MMO

I have played the beta a bit, and it is pretty fun. Definitely felt awesome to make an evil sith marauder and slaughter people. Not sure I want to get into it though just because of the cost of constantly paying for a game. Especially when I've been playing League of Legends now for over a year for free and still love it. I might still get it and just play it for a couple months though, it definitely is fun from what I've played thus far.

Dec 20th is actually sooner than I thought this game was going to be released. I hope EA isn't pushing this game out too soon to hit the holiday shopping season (which they have a bad habit of doing) with the thought of just patching it up later.

MMO players are pretty fickle nowadays and won't tolerate half-assed releases. Look at Warhammer online, which had a terrible release. I didn't last more than a month there. Or Conan which had a rough release. I almost ran out and bought the new FF mmo just because the screen shots looked so gorgeous. I waited (whew!) and watched them crash and burn with their disastrous release. All of those games lost mass amounts of players in the few months after their release and some of them like warhammer I am surprised are still even around at all.

I hope EA realizes that releasing a polished product is more important that having it out by Christmas. Think I might have to wait and see what the early adopters have to say about it.

I never thought of an MMO as a buy for someone else kind of game. I always thought of them as a game someone would buy for themselves. So why a holiday release at all, and why Dec 20 if they are going for a gift purchases that’s only 5 days before Christmas? No, I think they are aiming at students who are out of school and have nothing better to do than play it.

There's just simply too many quality, free MMO's out there for me to justify paying a monthly sub for anything.
