FEATURED VOXPOP oblivion437 Update: I was unfortunately not aware of Shamus Young's severe criticism of Fallout 3 available here to link in the original piece and I regret that.  It dovetails rather nicely with what I've written and it's much better executed than my piece.  I strongly recommend anyone...

Steel Battalion Heavy Armor Pre-Order Packs Debriefed

Posted on Monday, April 23 @ 08:58:18 PST by

Capcom has announced some rather vague details on the various pre-order packs to be available for Steel Battalion Heavy Armor.

When it arrives June 19 in North America and June 22 in Europe, it will feature three different packs that will improve the player's Vertical Tank in various ways. This means either boosting the Tank's "defensive power, offensive force, speed in combat, and much more".

I know that's not much to go on. There are no details yet on which retailers will receive which pack, but really, the difference between the various pre-orders likely won't force you switch retailers, unless the boost is that substantial.

Another tidbit I found interesting: Steel Battalion Heavy Armor is set in 2082 during a time when the United States is occupied by Chinese forces. You know, developers, there is such a thing as a self-fulfilling prophecy. I'm training to be a double agent as we speak...
