Elop to Head up Xbox Division as Microsoft Gets New CEO

Posted on Tuesday, February 4 @ 07:10:15 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Satya Nadella has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft, the company announced today. Nadella formerly served as the executive VP of Microsoft’s Cloud and Enterprise group, where he managed the various computing platforms and cloud services at the company.

As far as what this might mean for the Xbox division? According to a report from The Verge, "Stephen Elop will still rejoin Microsoft shortly to lead an expanded devices team focused on Surface, Windows Phones, and Xbox."

The company has undergone several management shakeups over the past several months, so here's to hoping all the new blood in these executive roles pays off for the company and Xbox fans alike.

What do you think of Microsoft's new leading man and the new head over at Xbox? Will they make a good fit?
