Tactical Intervention Beta Begins Next Month

Posted on Thursday, February 16 @ 13:24:43 Eastern by Jonathan_Leack

When you talk competitive first-person shooters, Counter-Strike has to be brought up. Not only has it been one of the most common games in gaming leagues and tournaments, but it's remained popular for over 10 years. Now that its creator is working on a title to bring that same level of teamwork and balance to the current-generation, it's hard not to be ripe with joy.

After over a year of anticipation, Tactical Intervention is finally in its final stages of development. In order to ensure that it's as balanced and refined as possible, its creator, Minh Le, has announced a North American beta. It is currently set to begin next month, for both residents of Canada and America.

Judging by the new trailer, the game might not be flashy, but that won't matter much if it's as precise as Counter-Strike was. Delivering headshots and ricocheting grenades off of walls was all Counter-Strike needed to be at the top of the totem pole for half a decade. Sometimes simple is better.

Head on over to the official site to sign up for the beta. Chances are it will be PC-exclusive, but who's to say now that Guild Wars 2 and Diablo III are both multi-platform.
