Team Fortress Arcade Is a Free Download

Posted on Thursday, September 29 @ 11:58:11 Eastern by

Team Fortress Arcade, Eric Ruth's retro re-imagining of Valve's Team Fortress 2, is finally out and available as a free download via Pikimal.

It essentially takes the nine classes from TF2 and turns it into a side-scrolling early-'90s beat-'em-up that allows for four-player local multiplayer in the vein of the arcade classics Turtles in Time and Captain America and the Avengers. Online multiplayer is on the way, too.

I would give Eric my money, but he's not asking for any... so I'll just give him hearts.

Stupid question; Local multiplayer means that there needs to be another comp hooked to mine in order to get more than one player, right?

Fun game though. 1st boss whooped my ass.

YES! Finally! I got to stage 3 and foolishly tried using the Pyro against the big balls...

I'm enjoying the music. Reminds me of SimCity 2000.

Got stuck on Stage 7. There's a roadblock of crates and TNT that won't blow up.
