Tetris Is Free on Android

Posted on Tuesday, August 30 @ 10:39:56 Eastern by

Joining Scrabble Free, a free version of Tetris published by EA Mobile and Blue Planet Software, Inc. has landed on Android platforms. Henk Rogers, President and CEO of Blue Planet Software, believes that spreading the love of Tetris is never a bad thing:

The Tetris brand is more relevant today than ever and we are thrilled to bring the game to yet another platform. Now, with the free version for Android users, fans can fall in love with the Tetris game all over again.

According to a press release, "the free version of Tetris features new and improved visuals, the famous Tetris music and fan-favorite marathon mode that will challenge even the most seasoned of Tetris veterans". Players can use the touch screen controls and track their stats against competitors worldwide.

The game is available now and is receiving and average of 4 out of 5 stars. Users say that the playing space could be larger and the ads can be a nuisance, but you know, it's free and all.

Look, I like Tetris too, and I'm glad you are releasing a free version... but really. REALLY. More relevant today than ever? Do you actually believe that?
