The Adventures of Tintin Movie Tie-in Announced by Ubisoft

Posted on Monday, June 6 @ 15:44:32 Eastern by Sebastian_Moss

Movie tie-ins are almost universally awful, but this time Ubisoft has promised it will be different... they wouldn't lie, would they? Ubisoft's latest game tie-in will be for Steven Spielberg's forthcoming Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn movie and will expand on the Tintin universe.

The E3 trailer shows a mix of 2.5D platforming and 3D vehicle stages which can be completed by switching between Tintin, Snowy, and Captain Haddock.

No platforms or release date have been announced, but it'll probably be around the movie's launch on December 23.

I wonder if I could become the Uwe Boll of the gaming industry and become a crap-movie-to-crap videogame baron. I can see it now... my first game would be based on a tyler perry movie...that's it.

Woah, I had no idea there was a Tintin movie. I loved those books when I was a kid (I still have them somewhere), and a quick google search shows me the movie is being directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson. Holy **** I'm excited about it now. The game will probably be awful though.
