The Last Guardian Misses Tokyo Game Show 2011

Posted on Thursday, September 8 @ 19:34:21 Eastern by

What the hell? Do I need to send more angry letters? Even the Japanese won't get any new information on Team ICO's latest, The Last Guardian. You'd think the Tokyo Game Show would be a fitting venue for new Last Guardian footage, gameplay, screenshots.... a release date... ANYTHING!

Please, throw us a bone here! Despite ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection getting some fancy box art, Sony decided to tune us all into the fact that The Last Guardian would not be attending the biggest gaming convention in the land of the rising sun:

The Last Guardian is not on the schedule for this year's Tokyo Game Show. Ueda-san and the rest of the development team are hard at work to bring his lofty vision to life and deliver the very best gaming experience possible.

I guess that pushes the game out of 2011 and into 2012. Despite being announced at E3 in 2009, The Last Guardian has taken on several delays, this being, vaguely, the latest.
