The Last Guardian Release Date Announcement Coming Soon?

Posted on Thursday, April 10 @ 11:30:00 PST by Alex_Osborn

It has been a very long time since Sony has had anything official to share about its chronically-delayed title from Team ICO, The Last Guardian. After blowing away gamers with ICO and Shadow of the Colossus on PlayStation 2, Fumito Ueda's studio really made a name for itself, but unfortunately, it looks like Team ICO crumbled under the weight of the incredible pressure.

That said, Sony hasn't thrown in the towel on the project, continually denying rumors that the game has been canceled. Now, it looks like we may finally get some concrete info along with a release date.

According to the latest issue of Famitsu (via DualShockers), when pressed for details about The Last Guardian, Sony Computer Entertainment said that as long as development continues as planned, a release date as well as new information could be coming soon.

Here's to hoping we find out more at E3.
