The Last of Us Is Official, Developed by Naughty Dog

Posted on Saturday, December 10 @ 17:29:01 Eastern by

The first big reveal at the SpikeTV VGAs was Sony's new PS3 exclusive, The Last of Us. What was shown is already said to be in-game, and well, it's being developed by Naughty Dog, and yes, it looks as good as Uncharted 3.

Unfortunately, they didn't show too much about what the gameplay or the story will be, but they did show these mutated humanoids with faces that look similar to those ants we saw infected with Cordyceps. The world appears to be in a post-apocalyptic state and for a long time. Streets are completely overgrown, vehicles are overturned -- not straying too far from the atmosphere of other games. The difference here is that these are not zombies. Although, it's clearly survival horror.

Naughty Dog has a lot of accomplishments under its belt, but this will be their first foray with horror games. We'll post the video live when it's available.
