REVIEWSGRiD 2 Review
Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.
State of Decay Review
Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?
E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

The Witcher 3 Announced, Goes On A Wild Hunt
Posted on Monday, February 4 @ 23:48:42 Eastern by Daniel Bischoff
GameInformer's March cover has been revealed. Gracing the magazine are the first images of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This is apparently another standalone sequel (because it's based off books, right?) that supposedly rivals even Skyrim.
More details from the magazine's first look come by way of Indigo Cyclops from NeoGAF. The game reportedly includes 30-40 minute horseback rides across the world, a new engine dubbed CDRED Engine 3, mystery solving to match monster slaying, and next-gen consoles.
Can't wait for this game, it's going to be epic. I just recently picked up a used copy of Witcher 2 for $20 and am getting my moneys worth. Loads of content and an impressive story to boot. Anyone who hasn't checked out this game, I highly recommend it!
In totally unrelated news, CD Projekt is hiring quite a few positions at their Warsaw studio for "a dark fantasy RPG." One of the requirements is "A working knowledge of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels." I wonder what that could be...
Exciting! Hopefully CDP has learned some hard lessons from some silly mistakes they made with TW2 - I loved the game, but once the honeymoon period ended it became extremely clear that some basic elements of the game were downright broken (hence the Enhanced Edition, which fixed most -not all- issues). I hope they will refine the combat mechanics from TW2 to perfection, instead of trying to deploy a new one (and breaking it all over again). I also hope they won't make the first two chapters amazing and quickly trail off the end to the point where I wasn't even sure if I finished the game. Only thing I know for sure is that I won't be rushing out on release day to buy this game - honestly TW2 wasn't playable until about the second path was released.
....and I just read that the game won't have any Acts and Chapters - it will be similar to Skyrim (which apparently the developers have stated is the inspiration behind TW3). That's one fear off the list.
I do too, but not massive wide fetch quests that send me 40 minutes across the map. If that's true, hopefully there's a fast travel option (like Skyrim).
Great series. The Witcher 2 already maxes out my high end rig (i7 processor, overclocked GTX670, 16G RAM) & I can't even get a steady framerate on max settings, I'm scared to think what the Witcher 3 will require!
