Tomes Feature In Darksiders II

Posted on Tuesday, July 31 @ 09:22:58 Eastern by Keri_Honea

THQ finally lifted the embargo on their new "sharing" feature for Darksiders II, something they covered last week at their Community Event. This feature is called Tomes, and it allows players to share their loot, including weapons and armor, with their friends.

Did you pick up some really nice armor that isn't as great as what you already have, but you know your friend has been looking for it? You can send it to him or her via the giant Tomes scattered across the world(s) of Darksiders II. If you want to be a troll and just unload all of your crap gear that won't sell for much, you can do that too.

Tomes will also be used for preorder bonuses or any gear you buy over DLC, if that becomes available.

Darksiders II launches August 14th.

I kind of like the psuedo-multiplayer they are incorporating into single player games. Dark Souls and Dragons Dogma immediately come to mind. Although I still wish Dragons Dogma was true multiplayer.

I'm enjoying the first Darksiders right now, but this looks so much better already.

Agreed. Last time I played Darksiders I got to the final boss, (literally the final battle) and couldn't beat him on the first try. Took a break from the game, got drunk one night and accidentally formatted my HDD (don't ask, not sure why). So I'm playing through it again right now so I can say I beat it before playing DSers2
