Torchlight on Sale on Xbox Live, Even Cheaper on Steam

Posted on Wednesday, July 6 @ 14:32:54 Eastern by Jenna_Jue

If you're like me, you're kicking yourself for missing out on Steam's sale price for Torchlight, the action RPG everyone is playing!... while they wait for Diablo III. Seriously, I saw on GameRevolution that Torchlight was only $2.99 on Steam the other day. I said "oh, I'll have to get there. Let me make sure my computer can run it before I buy. I started downloading the demo...

and then I forgot about it. Sh**!

Well, logging on to my Xbox 360 today, I see that Torchlight is only 800 MSP this week. You can download the game for just $10 from Xbox Live Arcade!

Let's check Steam's price to see what it amounts to.... $7.49. Steam is STILL cheaper than XBL when it comes to Torchlight deals! This is insane! Both platforms normally price Torchlight at $15 and while XBL is reducing that by 33% to $10, Steam is selling it for 50% the normal price.

Speaking of Steam sales, tell us what you've picked up so far in the comments! How much money have you dropped on PC games you probably will never play?

About a year and a half ago I bought BioShock on sale for $5. I was drunk at the time, and my sister (also drunk) warned me about buying things while drunk. I told her "Hell, I'd make that deal if I was sober!" and bought it. I also got Audiosurf for really cheap around then.

But for the more recent sales, I bought Portal 2 and gifted Audiosurf to a friend.

I bought Torchlight, Trine, Braid, and Left for Dead 2, and I've only paid around $12.50 for them all. Insanity!

I love this time of year, though my wallet hates it. I've picked up Borderlands, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, BioShock 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Far Cry 2, and Torchlight. I'm basically stocking up on games for the next year, especially since I rarely buy games right when they come out (usually only 1 or 2 per year).

I'm looking at building a new rig specifically for Battlefield 3. My time is running out quickly.
