Tower Defense In Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault

Posted on Wednesday, July 18 @ 13:21:56 Eastern by Keri_Honea

Insomniac revealed new deatils for their upcoming PSN game, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, on the PlayStation Blog. RCFFA will have the same R&C formula we all know and love, but now it will have a lovely tower defense mode. The tower defense element is not the sole focus, but there are parts of the game where Ratchet and clank must build and defend forts against invading enemies.

I guess we saw how well that was loved in Assassin's Creed Revelations and believe it was worth repeating?

In addition, FFA will include both an online and a couch co-op multiplayer mode. With either Ratchet, Clank, or Captain Qwark, players will fight their way through five levels on three different planets.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will drop on the PSN this Fall.

Well, despite recent setbacks with Resistance 3's lackluster sales and R&C's All 4 One oddness, I still think Insomniac Games can pull this off successfully.

BTW - I just got AC:Revelations, played the first few hours, I don't see the problem with the Tower Defense stuff in that game. Yet...

The tower defense is solid enough to play, but it completely detracts from the single player experience. You are Ezio Auditoire, master assassin and heir to the assassin legacy there is no man that can match your strength in combat....now go stand on a roof and point at things
