Trials Evolution Sets Highest Day-One XBLA Sales

Trials Evolution, sequel to the awesome Trials HD, has just smashed the record for Day One sales in Xbox LIVE Arcade history. Not a bad way to start Microsoft's Arcade NEXT program.

This title features physics-based motocross time trials, a track editor, and an all-new multiplayer experience. According to Gamasutra, it has sold more than 100,000 copies, which means that at its $15 price, developer RedLynx is now $1.5 million richer. Microsoft also needed to "add more servers to accommodate all the users playing the game".

GR's Devin Charles will have a review for the title soon.

    I've played the first one and while I can most definitely see the appeal, it infuriated me to no end. The only reason I haven't downloaded them is because I'm sure I'd just end up throwing my controller through my TV.
