Twisted Metal Makes PS3 Debut This October

Posted on Friday, April 8 @ 10:41:02 Eastern by

Twisted Metal has been wreaking vehicular havoc on PlayStation consoles since the beginning. During Sony's E3 2010 press conference, David Jaffe, the series creator, took the stage to reveal a new Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3.

Since then, there haven't been many updates on the game. GR had some hands-on time scheduled during GDC, but just days prior to the event, Sony canceled plans to show off the game (along with cancelling Sorcery and The Last Guardian showings) to any members of the press. We couldn't help but wonder if development had hit a bump in the road (or maybe was attacked by a serial killer clown driving an ice cream truck?), shattering any hopes for a 2011 release.

That's not the case, however, as a new trailer for Twisted Metal has surfaced on GameTrailers and at the end of the video a release date of October 4, 2011 is displayed. See the latest video below:

I'm probably more into Twisted Metal than anyone else on here, which I actually did a blog about ages ago, so I'm really, REALLY excited. Hell, when I saw Calypso tower appear, I damn near came.
