Ubisoft Confirms Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is Still Coming

Posted on Tuesday, February 26 @ 07:00:00 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

I don't know about you, but I've been longing for a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil ever since I played the first game back in 2003. We've been teased by Ubisoft in years past, but we still have yet to see any actual gameplay, aside from what is clearly a leaked target render above.

With reports of discord between Michel Ancel and Ubisoft following the Rayman Legends delay, many (including myself) have grown worried about the likelihood of Beyond Good & Evil 2 ever seeing the light of day. Fortunately, Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot quelled our fears in an interview with Kotaku in which he explained, "It's coming. I don't give comments any more on BG&E2, because I think... the next time we communicate we have to have something new."

Hopefully the reason we haven't heard anything about the game is because they've been waiting for next-gen consoles to have been revealed. If it looks anything like the video embedded above, I'm sold.

What are the stipulations this time? BGEHD sales, Rayman sales, what else?

    Michel Ancel doesn't quit.
