Ubisoft Confirms Rainbow 6 Patriots in Development

Posted on Thursday, November 3 @ 10:12:00 Eastern by

With Ghost Recon rolling into Spring and Assassins stabbing people every year, you'd have to be some kind of stupid terrorist to not see Rainbow 6 returning to the front of Ubisoft's portfolio sometime soon. The French publisher confirmed just that this morning with a logo, box art, and some concept renders.

David Sears, creative director at Ubisoft said:

Terrorism has evolved, and so has Rainbow 6. In Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots, all the team play, tactics, and realism that fans of the series love have been coupled with an exciting new narrative direction. This adds an unprecedented level of humanity that will make Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Patriots an extremely tense and immersive experience.

The game will come packaged with cooperative and multiplayer experiences for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Expect more on Rainbow 6 Patriots in next month's exclusive Game Informer cover reveal.

Hopefully going back to a more Rogue Spear like set-up, as the Vegas installments are clearly NOT Rainbow Six style.

They were boring, that's what happened, fine I agree the newer R6 weren't as realistic but they were fun nonetheless.

Well duh. They weren't going to call it just "Rainbow". They'd have to be gay or Japanese.

    No.

It's Rainbow Six. Rainbow 6.... I figured it was a play on words, but this is the 7th game.
