After all these years, and growing up with Windows 3.1, I have seen an entire evolution of computers and software. Touch screens and large resolutions were a pipe dream just 15 years ago. Now it's the norm. Going from a Packard Bell (yes, before HP) that couldn't run 3D Ultra Mini...

Uncharted 4, The Last of Us GOTY Edition “Doubtful” For 2014 Release [Update: Sony Clarifies]

Posted on Friday, January 24 @ 10:04:28 PST by Alex_Osborn

[Update] It appears Uncharted 4 and/or a GOTY edition of The Last of Us could still very well be launching later this year. PlayStation LifeStyle reached out to Monacelli about his response to a fan on the PlayStation Blog. For context, here's the user's question: "UC4 Easter eggs??? UC4 for PS4 in 2014…LOU GOTY edition please!!!!!!! for PS3!"

Monacelli clarified his response of "Ha. Doubtful" to the outlet, saying, "I answer the questions when replying. The only question was the Easter egg question. A lot of passion and gossip happening otherwise!"

So there you have it. There's still a sliver of hope that Uncharted 4 will be launching before 2014 comes to a close.

[Original] It doesn't look like we'll be seeing any major game releases from Naughty Dog in 2014, as the studio has said the release of Uncharted 4 as well as the still unconfirmed GOTY version of The Last of Us probably won't be coming this year.

In response to a fan's question on the PlayStation Blog as to whether or not either title will be coming this year, Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli replied by saying, "Ha. Doubtful."

While waiting until 2015 may be difficult, something tells me it will most definitely be worth the wait. Naughty Dog has yet to disappoint, after all.
