Grid 2 surprised me. I was going through the motions, getting used to the cars and their handling, when suddenly something happened. I started having fun.

Undead Lab's zombie-infested action title has finally hit XBLA. Is it worth a few of your precious Microsoft Points, or should you whack it over the head with a two-by-four and continue on your merry way?

E3: PC or rather about the lack of it

E3 2013 has been very silent for me. There's tons of media, but most of it buzzes past my ears without them catching the important keyword that my ears are fine tuned to receive: "PC" or "Personal Computer". Microsoft, Sony, EA and Ubisoft have all shown their cards...

Unmasked Sub-Zero Coming to Mortal Kombat

Posted on Monday, July 25 @ 09:58:50 Eastern by

By now, you should all know how I feel about Freddy Krueger arriving as DLC in Mortal Kombat. But despite my bitching, there is at least one great thing coming along with the Nightmare on Elm Street Horror icon. And that's Sub-Zero.

"Hey wait, I've already got ice in my drink Sub-Zero in my Mortal Kombat", you say? You're right, and technically this is only a costume, but it's the unmasked Mortal Kombat 3 version of Sub-Zero, who is actually the Sub-Zero from the original Mortal Kombat, but not the Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat II (it's his brother; long, confusing story).

Since it is indeed just a costume, you wont see the Bi-Han Sub-Zero's Ice Shower move. This costume should be released alongside the Freddy Krueger DLC in a compatibility pack that features another costume for a different kombatant. We'll update you when we find out what the other costume is, if there is one at all. For now, check out this video of the unmasked Sub-Zero in action.

It's also probably a good time to announce the not-winner of the Guess Who Haiku Friday. Since no one was able to guess Freddy Krueger (and why would you have?), I was forced to random select...

RaidenIsCool is the winner by default. Winner has 48 hours to PM me or I'll perform a stage fatality on him give the prize to a runner-up.

We're also announcing the winner(s) of our 100th Haiku Friday post today. Look out for Daniel's announcement later today.

Neat, still don't have the game. The latest version of "Mortal Kombat" I have is MK vs DC. Due to Anthony talking about Mortal Kombat so much, I decided to revisit MK vs DC and played rank matches online. I won 8 matches in a row and decided to play Assassin's Creed II afterwards (since I never finished it).

One of those, 5-7-10 haikus. Damn hipsters and their irony.

I did see that, but since no one actually won, I was much more lenient with picking the winner's Haiku.

Sweet I was hoping he'd be added but I'll settle for a costume change.

How much do they charge for each one of these characters? They're really milking the fan base, if you ask me...

They are all $4.99 (PSN) and 400 MSP (XBL). Most of the costume packs are free. I have paying that much for each character, but being such a huge fan I don't really have a choice.

I downloaded MK3 on iPhone. I'm still amazed how cool the costumes in MK3 were. I'll definitely download the Unmasked Sub Zero.
