[Update] Green Arrow and Joker Confirmed For Injustice: Gods Among Us

Posted on Wednesday, October 10 @ 07:55:22 Eastern by Keri_Honea

[Update] The Joker has also been confirmed via the game's box art, which you can see at the bottom of this article.

[Original] Yet another character has been announced for DC Comics' fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Green Arrow. The announcement from NetherRealms was set to coincide with CW's premiere for their new TV series, simply called Arrow, which starts tonight, October 10th.

Bows and arrows are all the rage right now, so it seems only fitting for NetherRealms and DC Comics to want to include Green Arrow in this game. The Green Arrow is also a prominent character in DC Comics' cartoon, Young Justice, which airs on Cartoon Network.

If you're already planning on attending New York Comic-Con this weekend, you'll be able to check out Green Arrow and his moves for the first time.

Green Arrow is a big **** yes from me. One of my favorite DC heroes.

The Joker, however? Hell nah. As much as I like the Joker, one, I was looking forward to a game where they didn't throw him right in the forefront (oh, look at that box art), two, we already have Harley Quinn which is basically going to be the same, and three, that's enough Batman. Seriously, DC has an amazing roster of heroes that they could put in, and all they're ****ing doing is including more Batman characters. Seriously, they already take up 1/5th of the roster.

Now they need to confirm Atroticus, Booster Gold, and Black Adam. That's assuming Lex Luthor and Captain Cold are already confirmed.
