Vergil Will Be A Playable Character In DmC's Downloadable Content

Posted on Monday, November 12 @ 12:46:56 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Capcom has just revealed a DLC pack for the upcoming Devil May Cry reboot, which will allow players to assume the role of Vergil. The downloadable add-on will be all too appropriately titled "Vergil's Downfall" and will be available for download via both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live for $8.99.

To go along with the announcement, the publisher released a new trailer which features the white-haired brother of Dante. Naturally, Vergil will have his own unique fighting style, which will add a nice wrinkle to the gameplay.

DmC is set to launch on January 15th, which will be here before you know it! Be sure to sound off in the comments below letting us know what you think of the addition of Vergil.

Talk about creating DLC before a game's release date, in the near future GotY editions will be announced before the game first comes out.

A question just pops into my head now: this or Metal Gear Rising?

Looks good, but i still hate Capcom for rebooting this when DMC4 has question that still needed to be answered. I probably will not be playing this game no matter how good it is.

Welcome to the downfall of gaming everyone, it only gets worse from here. I know it's been said many times but many people but DLC is the worst thing to ever happen to gaming IMO.

The worst thing to happen to gaming was the popularity of CoD4.

    Capcom financial strategy:

    step 1. Make a game.
step 2. cut the game up into tiny pieces.
step 3. release the largest bit left as a full game.
step 4. release slowly the other pieces for 20% of the price of the original.
    step 5. ???.
step 6, laugh at the idiots you call customers and count profit.

Wow...an entire DLC pack announced before the game is even out. Before the year the game is supposed to be out.

Anyways, this still looks pretty generic.

With what Capcom has done with Resident Evil and DMC franchizes, I really don' t want to buy anything more from them for a while.
