Watch Mojang Make Humble Indie Game Over The Weekend [Update]

Posted on Saturday, February 18 @ 18:14:27 Eastern by

Creators of Minecraft will be sacrificing their time live in The Humble Bundle Mojam, a marathon where Mojang and his cohorts will create a game over the weekend. Users can contribute however much they want (the average is, as of this writing, $5.68) to purchase the game once it's completed.

Based on a poll with more than 100,000 users, Mojang and his friends at Wolfire will be crafting a "real-time strategy shoot 'em up, with a steampunk, ancient Egypt theme!" Meanwhile, Oxeye Game Studios will be creating "a dungeon crawler beat 'em up set in a post-apocalyptic World War II!"

Remember that all proceeds go to your choice from among four non-profit organizations: The Childs Play Charity, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the American Red Cross and charity: water. (I've donated to charity: water separately.)
