LATEST FEATURESBeing A Console Is Actually Xbox One's Worst Asset
Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.
Before Microsoft and Sony do something regarding their future in the video game business, I wanted to write, and I've wanted it for a long time now, but other things kept getting in my way, and fearing that tomorrow might be too late, today will have to do.

Sony kicked off their new Long Live Play campaign a couple of weeks ago, marking the triumphant return of Kevin Butler. But since then, things have been quiet... almost too quiet. It's like they are planning something... something big.
A video released today confirms our suspicions, Sony has definitely got something up their sleeve. Has KB gone back into hiding? What's with the mystery here? When Sony does something big, the VP of everything awesome is usually behind it.
What exactly does Sony have in store for us? Watch the video, then tell us what you think that might be.
The fact that you see the Metal Gear mk.II (30 sec) has me excited it might have at least something to do with Metal Gear. Also those guys seem an awful lot like the original CoD soldiers and he cuts himself out of the chute like the first mission of the game. Maybe its just gonna be more games (retro and new) on the PSN. Which would be cool, give me Shenmue PSN!!!
well it's pretty obvious that it's not for a single game. i'm guessing the shot of the paratrooper tossing the coin in the bowl (35 sec) with various other currencies and objects represents the currencies used in different games, or that of the countries involved in the games. even more obvious is the shot when the soldiers put their guns against the wall (40 sec). there are many newer guns, and even futuristic looking ones.
it seems as though the theatrics of the ad suggest a meeting between characters from the different first-person shooter games, since there are no other props or paraphernalia from other types of games. so the only real conclusion can be that whatever this is will expand across all first-person shooters for playstation.
