Wii U, Vita Support From id Software "Extremely Unlikely"

To probably no one's surprise, id Software has no intention whatsoever to support the Wii U or PlayStation Vita.
During his QuakeCon keynote, industry legend John Carmack explained why it is "extremely unlikely" that these platforms will ever see support from the company, saying:
I always thought that the Wii U and Vita would be great targets forDoom 3: BFG Edition. We should be able to bring that over directly, but [the platforms have] generated nothing for us on the publishing side of things, because they're somewhat marginalized platforms....Do you think this is a major loss for Sony and Nintendo? It certainly isn't surprising, I'll tell you that much. Let's hope things turn around for these two struggling platforms in the future. Who knows, perhaps this holiday will bring some much needed hope.
