Microsoft's newest console has lots of different features, but video games might hold the device back from the software giant's true intentions.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Release Date Announced

Posted on Wednesday, July 25 @ 06:42:28 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

If you're eager to once again lose your life to Blizzard's ridiculously popular MMO, September 25th is the date to mark on your calendar. That's right, we're only just a couple of months away from the launch of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. As expected, the game will be available for both the PC and Mac.

The expansion will retail for $39.99, while the Collector's Edition will set you back a whopping $79.99. While that seems like an awful lot to spend on a single game, I'm sure there are many WoW loyalists already planning to line up at midnight who will happily fork over the dough.

Do you plan on jumping back into Blizzard's engrossing world when Mists of Pandaria launches this September? I still have yet to finish slogging through Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm

I don't think I'll ever return to WoW, although I'm interested in the new talent trees and stuff.

never going back to WoW again. my account got banned 4 months after I'd quit playing, the account wasn't even active to my knowledge (i always paid with game cards when 2 months was up so i know it wasn't). unless somehow it got hacked. i've tried what I can to get it unbanned but no luck yet and I don't care enough to keep trying.

so guild wars 2 it is.

i personally think MoP looks awesome though, so i'm slightly sad. i've got too many cool ass rare mounts and weird items and fun stuff on my account to start again.

I was a WoW addict for years, but no longer! If they removed the subscription fee, however, I probably would get back into it.

Total diablo 3 sales: 6.8 millions with 3.2 millions in the first 24 hour officially putting the game on Guinness books.

By hung itself, do you mean like... the money making type of hanging?

Diablo 3 has it's flaws right now. But people will still be playing it 5+ years from now, and it will be 1000x the product it is right now.

Torchlight 2 will be gone, Path of Exile won't last two weeks, etc.

    That, and what Lien said.

@Lien even when you hang yourself, you don't die instantly. Metaphor still wins.

Not sure. Depends on my roommate. Last time I played I remember grinding AV which turned into a cool-on-paper design to a stupid zerg rush. I still played it hundreds of times to get those couple pieces of armor to still remain sub-par against all the hardcores. In retrospect I'm not sure why I wasted all that time. If my roommate wants to sub again we'll play together which makes games 1000x better including rocking pvp Right now I stick to my no sub LOTRO.

I'm shelling out for a CE this time. Played since launch and never got a CE, but the panda gods demand it.

Played through WotLK, quit, and never looked back. If they dropped the subscription fee I'd play on rare occasion to talk to folks I used to play with, but they won't so I won't.
