Xbox 360 Dashboard Update Delayed

Posted on Tuesday, December 6 @ 08:54:27 Eastern by

If you've been gearing up for today's Xbox 360 update, you're going to be in for a world of disappointment. But you should be used to disappointment in your life, seeing as though you are waiting for a dashboard update.

Xbox's Major Nelson, or Larry Hyrb as he's known in real life, Tweeted the following:

FYI: The timing for Xbox 360 dashboard update has been slightly delayed, I'll have a status update later today.

Thanks again for your patience. I won't have additional details until later today. The moment I have new information, I'll share it w/ you.

Talk about last minute. The Tweet came about 30 minutes prior to the planned roll-out. This is probably good news, though. Microsoft must have discovered a bug or an issue, and pulled the update in order to fix it for an eventual release.

We'll keep you informed when the update's status changed. If you happen to get the update, comment below and let us know.
