Xbox 360 The UK’s Top-Selling Home Console Of 2013

Posted on Monday, January 13 @ 15:33:41 PST by Alex_Osborn

Last year's video game hardware sales for the UK have been revealed, and it looks like Microsoft and Nintendo are the big winners of 2013.

Xbox 360 comes out on top as the highest-selling console of the year, while Nintendo 3DS takes the cake as the best-selling piece of hardware overall. The data comes from Chart-Track (via Eurogamer). Check out the full list of hardware stats below.
  1. 3DS (including 2DS, XL) - up 4%
  2. Xbox 360 - down 30.7%
  3. PlayStation 4
  4. PlayStation 3 - down 31%
  5. Xbox One
  6. Vita - down 41%
  7. Wii U - up 41.5%
  8. Wii - down 72%
It will be interesting to see how the hardware sales pan out this year. Do you think PlayStation 4 will manage to climb to the top by year's end? Might Nintendo's handheld continue to dominate over the next 12 months? Will Wii U finally see some sort of turnaround? Let us know how you think hardware sales will pan out in the UK over the course of 2014 in the comments below.
