XCOM Demo Now Available On Xbox Live And Steam

Posted on Tuesday, October 9 @ 12:23:23 Eastern by Alex_Osborn

Interested in Firaxis Games' sci-fi strategy game, but not sure if you want to drop the full $60 to get in on the fun? Well if you're on the Xbox 360 or PC, you can check out the XCOM: Enemy Unknown demo right now.

If you're on the PS3, you'll only have to remain patient a bit longer, as the demo is set to hit Sony's store as soon as the PSN gets its weekly update later today. It's also worth noting that those without an Xbox Live Gold subscription will be out of luck, as Silver members won't be able get in on the action.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown launches today for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

I never understood why more companies don't do this. A demo a week before or on release date GREATLY increases my chance of buying it, assuming it's already a decent game in the first place.
