Xenoblade, Last Story Translation Underway, Nintendo Still Mum on American Release

Posted on Friday, July 8 @ 09:33:13 Eastern by

Nintendo gamers made a big fuss about three specific games a while back. They've been pretty miffed about all of this "no plans" business from Nintendo. Confused?

Japanese Wii gamers have been enjoying a few games that sit right in the wheelhouse of "core" gaming: Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower. Despite the critical acclaim and total lack of software on the Wii, Nintendo of America has been silent about releasing these games for NTSC Wiis. Dedicated fanboys Wii owners decided to start harassing Nintendo for weeks because, let's face it, complaining is always the best policy.

Today, the Operation Rainfall blog, your source for bitching and moaning about not getting what you want, announced that they had heard from an anonymous source inside Nintendo that American localization of Xenoblade had been completed. What?!

The source also reported that The Last Story was in the middle of translation, despite no official word from Nintendo. WHAT?!

Nintendo of America had originally responded to inquiries with your typical "no plans at this time" Facebook status message. While Xenoblade and The Last Story are looking more and more ready for release, there's still no word on a North American version of Pandora's Tower. Two out of three isn't bad, but I'd still like to see Nintendo fanboys weeping in the streets the release of all three games.

It would be nice to see these games finally come out. I haven't been *****ing, though I have been curious why they didn't come sooner.

Also I just gotta say it, that crowdignite thing at the end of all the daily posts is getting really annoying. Especially since none of the links are actually part of GR, and even then most of the things it shows for you is old news that we already know.
