Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Confirmed, Hopefully Coming To North America

Posted on Thursday, July 19 @ 12:09:05 Eastern by

After being leaked on their official Japanese store, Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition have been confirmed via the above trailer. The HD collection will be sticking to the PS3, which makes sense as Yakuza 1 and 2 were exclusive to the PS2.

If the image leaked last week can be believed, it should be releasing in Japan in December of this year for around $66 US.

I hope Sega understands that there are fans in the West who would want their hands on this and will pre-order this HD Collection if it ever arrives on American shores. The first 2 titles in the series are incredibly difficult to find, and though the current Yakuza titles for PS3 have montages explaining what happened in Yakuza 1 & 2, it's far better to know the whole story...

..including this very strange side mission in Yakuza 2.
