Save your life with sound.

Game conventions are terribly loud affairs. There's tons of people, tons of games, and gigantic speakers competing for your ear drums. Good luck trying to talk on the phone, interview a developer or even listen to the game your playing.

This was not the case at the Turtle Beach booth at PAX Prime this year. The company best known for its professional gaming accessories was showing off their line of Modern Warfare 3 branded headsets.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force Delta, Bravo, Charlie, and Foxtrot headsets vary in prices and features, but ultimately they also sound awesome. Turtle Beach had a handful of stations set up with each headset they're offering this Fall.

The lowest end model, Ear Force Foxtrot will run gamers $99.95 and allow you to hear all the glorious explosions and gunshots across Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Like all of the MW3 models, the Foxtrot comes complete with MW3 branding and insignia, a Call of Duty headband, MW3 downloadable bonuses and some incredible sound fidelity.

Stepping up to the Charlie model will run you an extra $30 but the headset features a large boost in comfortability. Charlie also comes complete with braided cables multi-speaker surround sound. The 5.1 Channel Amplifier allows you to control the volume of each audio feed.

Turtle Beach's Ear Force Bravo runs $179.95 and comes in a military-style equipment case. Gamers in need of precision during multiplayer matches can choose from several MW3-optimized presets so that they can hone their sound in on gunshots or footsteps. The rechargeable battery will last 10 hours of gameplay and dynamic chat boost will raise the volume of player voices as the action heats up.

Easily the cadillac of personal surround sound solutions will be the Turtle Beach Ear Force Delta. Priced at $299.95, Turtle Beach has packed in everything you could possibly ever want in a set of headphones. The customizable presets from the Bravo are here in addition to the extremely comfortable head band and ear cups.

The Delta also includes both 5.1 and 7.1 Surround Sound with multiple speakers in each cup. Players can pair two bluetooth devices to their headset so that a call can be answered even while playing the game or streaming music. Operating completely wirelessly, the Delta comes complete with microphone silencers to dampen background noise, Call of Duty voice prompts that tell you if you've got a low battery or which preset you're on and even voice morphing to alter your online voice. It might set you back a pretty penny, but who needs groceries every month right?

Truthfully, I wasn't aware of what kind of difference this would all make until I tried the headsets myself. Every model has incredible sound fidelity, but the higher end systems really make tracking enemies that much easier. The Delta itself could make the difference between a kill and a death in multiplayer matches. The real star will be enjoying blockbuster campaign modes with the volume cranked up. Every explosion literally rocked my ears and took the experience from 9 all the way to 11.

The Modern Warfare 3 branded Turtle Beach Ear Force lineup will be available later this Fall with compatibility across Xbox 360, PS3, and PC platforms.
