To compensate the game window looks like you are playing online for real money. Graphics are alright. A tournament takes forever, so you are more likely to go “All Inâ 1,000,000 times before you actually win. On top of all that, I’d rather play online because this game is tkinda BO-Ring. Maybe it was made for people who don\'t have the \"internets.\" http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/xbox/world_poker_tour/cory- Resident Evil: Outbreak - PS2 - xtvirusx http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps2/resident_evil_outbreak
I only bought this game since I was incredibly bored and felt like shooting some zombies. I\'m a fan of the Resident Evil series already, and so approached this game with a fairly open mind.
\r\n
The characters you can choose to play from, first of all, are all new and have different strengths and weaknesses. I found myself playing as David, the plumber, for all of the levels, but of course you will find a character that suits your style of play and who you take a liking to after experimenting with them all. Other than your main character, you\'re thrown into each scenario with two other characters. One of them will usually wander off and meet up with you again at random points in the level, but you\'ll nearly always have at least one person by your side. Let\'s just say their AI isn\'t the best for starters. Apart from ignoring your commands of "this way" by saying things like "no thanks", they\'ll also run head first into a boss and end up getting themselves killed.
\r\n
So asides from characters, let\'s talk combat and weapons. The game uses pretty much the same aiming system as other Resident Evil games and there\'s quite a range of weapons. You can make your own weapons from random objects in the scenarios, or fight with things like pipes and crutches if you really don\'t want to use a handgun or shotgun. Unfortunately the space you have in your inventory, unless you play as Yoko, who has more space, is usually only enough to hold one or possibly two weapons if you also have key items to carry around and healing items. You can only hold four items, which is a bit of a shame but rather realistic I suppose.
\r\n
The environments are pretty nice to look at, and the graphics are fine for a Resident Evil game. Nothing spectacular, but there\'s definitley atmosphere. The range of enemies is also pretty good. Aside from ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/ps2/resident_evil_outbreak/xtvirusx Alone in the Dark - Xbox360 - DWs http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/xbox360/alone_in_the_dark While i've spent 4-5 days hooked on the Bad Company multiplayer, i figured it was time to review Alone in the Dark.

To start, I found the game really enjoyable. When I first played it, I found the combat really irritating and difficult to grasp, and this led to me being chucked around a fair bit by the enemys, but now i've settled down somewhat. The Graphics are good, and the physics engine is, in a word, amazing. The way fire works is possibly alone in the darks biggest plus point. Everything that should burn, does burn. I once used a flaming bullet to put the window through of a car, and then slowly released i'd set the car on fire, and had to jump out. Moments like this make the game fun, and again, its the engine that should be applauded.

As for the story, it's pretty decent adventure game fare. You play as Edward Carnby and after a brilliant first two "episodes" escaping from a collapsing tower block, you find yourself in Central Park to solve a mystery. Yeah, the whole of central park. Central park is a pretty large place though, so you will have to use one of the many vehicles littered around to get there. In the run up to release, developers Eden used the dreaded words "open world enviroment" but this is untrue. While you have alot of ground you can cover, you dont have the Items to really go on a killing spree of sorts, and so generally you head for the nearest car and go straight for your next ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/xbox360/alone_in_the_dark/DWs Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - PS3 - crazycracker22 http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps3/metal_gear_solid_4 LOLOLOLOLLROGFL!!1 This ga me no whay near as
d god as h@lo 3!! SAC was made from the ground up and feels more portable friendly. You play the main story as Clank who is a umm...secret agent and has to stop the thief of the Eye of Infinity which will destroy the entire galaxy.

Throughout the game you use stealth by sneaking up behind enemies, pressing square, and executing a series of buttons before the timer runs out. This is very refreshing and never really gets boring. What I really liked about the stealth is that it\'s not demanding and doesn\'t have you hiding in shadows or keeping your noise down. You can just run up behind enemies and even their line of sight is fairly short. You can use some very clever weapons such as the Tangle Carnation which releases pods that eat enemies, the holo-monacle which lest you disguise yourself as the enemy, and even cufflink bombs. You also perform some well designed platforming, solve some simple puzzles with your special key (it\'s probably the worst mini-game in the whole game). While you prance around as Clank you can use your Gadgebots to unlock doors through a series of puzzles you have to solve and these are super fun and addictive.

Clank also has some mini-games of his own such as snowboarding, and a ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/psp/secret_agent_clank/Ivory_Soul Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - PS3 - LifeOfAPirate http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps3/gran_turismo_5_prologue For the price of 39.99 they really only wanted to keep up salvating at the thought of GT5. This game is highly enjoyable but there is not much offered in terms of what they allow us to do besides race and race online. This demo could've been twice the experience had they given the option even if minimal to upgrade your cars and to adjust varies variables in terms of shocks and gear ratios and everything else that comes along with racing games. The graphics especially the in car view is stellar. The replays look almost lifelike and the simulation controls are amazing as well, even though I would have to say that some cars in the game can't do simple turns at 45 miles an hour without seeming to slow down to 15 but no one can be perfect. The demo might leave you stuck trying a few times on certain races but all in all proves to be no challenge getting through all the races. The online mode even though very minimal is very solid and it is fun to get on with friends and race around the courses to test your skills. I'll probably be trading this one in before it price drops down to a demo price but nontheless a fun play for the money I'd probably suggest renting this one but if your a solid fan of the serious and plan to play online more then a purchase is right up your alley. Fun thrills at a reduced prices but remember your only getting a taste of things to come. http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/ps3/gran_turismo_5_prologue/LifeOfAPirate Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - PS3 - LifeOfAPirate http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps3/metal_gear_solid_4 Kojima seemed to fail at one thing in this game and that would be the actual amount of time you spend playing the game, and I dont mean watching videos which seems to be more time consuming that the amount of time you actually play the game. The game is kickass beginning to end. The moves list especially CQC is vastly improved. The story was alittle all over the place but it does sum up the whole MGS experience very nicely. I am currently playing online which I dont see a use for the Konami ID thing besides the fact that when you purchase something through the game it doesn't go to Playstations pocket but rather straight to Konami themselves, the online for this game is awesome actually got me to switch to it from COD4: Modern Combat but that is neither here nor there. The graphics are amazing and playing on 1080p just upped the experience even more in terms of visuals. The Drebin system is kinda cheesy as it only brings easy restocking of ammo and makes use of inventory items pretty much non restricted since it is so easy to replenish. Boss battles are far too easy compared to the other games. I had no challenge whatsoever in defeating any of the bosses, which was my second and last factor is giving this game a B+ I can see why some people give it and A and whatnot but I think that they could've put alittle more effort into making the game more challenging and advancing the AI on bosses. All in all a must buy for Playstation 3 and you shouldn't be disappointed by any means but there are a few things that could be improved but from all the BS that was going around on this game in terms of Kojima vs PS3 it turned out very well. http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/ps3/metal_gear_solid_4/LifeOfAPirate God Hand - PS2 - Tyrranis http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps2/god_hand Smite them fools!

I think we can all say that we will miss Clover Studios. Although they really only brought us Okami, the game was so damn awesome that, upon its release, everyone stood up and took notice, only to sit down to 5+ hour sittings with the game that would later win multiple GOTY awards.

Well, their last game ever may not have been such a great commercial success, but it certainly is \'ending on a high note\'.

Then again, when you get to stomp midget Power Rangers into the ground, it\'s not going to be anything but a high note, huh? Welcome to God Hand!

The plot of God Hand is simple. You play as Gene, a guy who got in the wrong place at the wrong time. After saving a girl called Olivia from a trio of thugs, you get your right arm cut off. You wake up some time later to find that Olivia has given you the God Hand (which is an entire arm, don\'t get me started), and now she is getting you to use this new apendage to lay some holy smackdown on thugs, dominatrixs and demons.

Sounds easy? Well, forget about that. This game is hard. Really hard. Fortunately, the game knows just how hard it is, in that checkpoints are both plentiful and close together, so that upon your inevitable death you don\'t start off too far back from where you were. Unfortunately, you restart the area completely, meaning all enemies come back as well. Levels are also rated not on the time you completed them, but how many continues you use.

The game also takes further measures to ramp up the difficulty, in spite of this frequent checkpoint-ness. By defeating enemies, you fill an ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/ps2/god_hand/Tyrranis Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Wii - Master_Craig http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/wii/super_smash_bros_brawl You know what's annoying? Waiting for games that you want to play, but wait, there's more. Brawl has finally arrived here. Out in Japan in January, out in America in March, out in the rest of the world in late June. The hype is well over, and many people are already losing interest in the game, but there are also many who are playing as I type. Now, I ask again, has the wait been worth it?

As mentioned, Brawl is the third of the Smash Bros. franchise, this time for the Nintendo Wii. It has changed quite a bit since the N64 days, but how much has it changed exactly?

We'll talk about what everyone claims the game is about. Multiplayer. Brawl delivers, in this department. Once again, players on the one console can duke it out from two to four players, with additional and optional computer controlled opponents (up to four total combatants). There's the simple free for all or team battle, and making returns are the time matches, stock matches (survival) and coin matches. Special rules also make a return, and there are quite a number of stages to be played on, even more to be unlocked.

I'd like to get this out of the road quickly before I talk about anything else. I really did love the mission when your are in the AC-130, but even that seemed fake. Your running around killing thousands upon thousands of terrorist. Like there is millions of them. And some times it takes almost no thought to kill them. As im running around the slums of some random desert city, im wondering WHERE THE HELL DO THEY ALL COME FROM?!? LIKE THEIR IS MILLIONS! And you have to kill all of them. And it is the easiest damn thing since pong. Scratch that. Its probaly easier. They all die in almost no effort on your part. It takes about, what 2 shots to kill anyone. At least in pong the ball bounced around. In this, the ball(the terrorist), just stand their firing mindlessly past you. And the multiplayer? Dont get me started. You picked up the nearest bit of wood and hit the nearest enemy with it till they died. Occasionally, you got a firearm, in which case you shot the nearest enemy with it until they died. then you went back to your trusty bit of wood. this is not the case in condemned 2, here theres a wide variety of melee attacks, combo's and the added ability to throw your weapon ,which makes the games combat far more then a simple "hammer the right trigger" affair.

And then there was the forensics. In the first game, they were widely flaunted as a big aspect of the game, but by and large, this boiled down to getting a glowy blue UV light, and shining it over the wall. What words can you use to explain the epic scope of Oblivion? Saying it's big some how fails to sum it up. Not being a master of language, or someone who's being paid to do this, I'm just going to state Oblivion is big, Rosie O'Donnell big.

The Elder Scrolls have always been a fascinating series, not withstanding a spin off that failed miserably, the game sets a plot, which genuinley is more intriguing than most games. Dumps you into the middle of.. well a town on the edge of nowhere, and says heres your toys, go play. It's not so much the gameplay, or the details, as it is the sheer scope of doing whatever you please whenever you please that attracts gamers to this gem.

That being said, does Oblivion live up to the expectations from Morrowind? Well in a short answer no. As earlier stated, the games appeal lies within it's impressive girth. Oblivion managed to dumb down Morrowind, and it's a shame, it's as if they feel console gamers just aren't up to snuff with PC gamers, and while I'd probably argue the exact same point, if that's the case why tailor the game to them? While I appreciate the ease of access the new menu system provides, the good comes in with the bad. There is a lot of dropped content, and when I say a lot, I mean Rosie just became Paris Hilton.

Heres a fine example of what's been dropped:

-Spears

-Medium Armor

-Enchanting (while it's present, it's nowhere near as complex)

-Short sword skills

-Crossbows

-Throwing weapons

-Levitation

Now that's not nearly all, but it still goes to show that it's more or less Morrowind light, and for those who enjoyed the massive expanse ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/xbox360/elder_scrolls_4_/Icepick Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - PS3 - shandog137 http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps3/metal_gear_solid_4
Hands down, the greatest iteration of the game. I won\'t break down the points given to graphics, audio, and story etc... simply because they were all exceptional and there will be ton\'s of reviews for this game all in the A to A+ range. The story takes on a more prominent role in this game to the point that I started falling asleep through a couple 15-20 minutes sequences. These can be skipped but they flesh out the story the first time though and are presented so fluidly and interchangebly with gameplay that you can\'t fault them too much for them being so long (longer so than any of the earlier games, or any game for that matter).
\r\n
Aside from the long cutscenes they have pretty much set a new standard for graphical quality on nex gen systems. The water effects, explosions, facial features, and environments are all top notch. The graphics are so good that it becomes a bit awkward when the camera ends up taking a high def close -up of Snake\'s crack (some things are better viewed at low res).
\r\n
I have experienced 4 boss battles so far and there are numerous ways to defeat each. On Solid (Normal) mode the bosses seemed a bit easy but I have no doubt that since there are 2-3 difficulty levels higher there should be a challenge for every skill level. Between a string of uninspiring-at-best games and a couple of dreadful films, the galaxy that was a long, long way away wasn't long enough away for most. Then KOTOR appeared with a lot of style and even more vision and made everyone like all this lightsabre nonsense again, unreservedly. The universe had its romance renewed.

For the last half-decade, World War 2 has been similarly run into the ground. The grand conflict between the allied and axis powers is, in videogame terms, the biggest single licence that isn't actually a real licence. Make a WW2 game, and you've got an inbuilt audience, background, world-class character designs, interesting situations and probably the best villains the world has ever seen. But because anyone can make a game set in WW2... everybody did. It's got to the point where we feel as if we've done it all before. How many times have we crawled up the shingles of Omaha beach? If you added up all my virtual deaths in those bloody shallows, it's entirely possible that I've lost more lives than were lost in the real assault. The first couple of hours had been fairly unremarkable - there were some predictable first-person cut-scenes, a linear intro level, some spooky goings-on, US military deployment, you know the sort of thing. I had watched the sun come up across the island and seen the kind of tropical Far-Cry-revisited scenes that we'd all been expecting. I had even barrelled through the first of the villages and used some of the suit-powers (which your buffed up future marine has at his disposal from the start) to kill off some enemies. But it wasn't until a little later that I sat back and actually looked at it.

Crysis is much more than a highly accomplished graphics engine, to be sure, but let me just get this across to you for a moment. Playing on a high-end PC (for Crysis runs best on a Quad Core beast with a DirectX 10 card) it was so good that I had almost failed to notice the sheer immensity of visual information it was delivering. The Crysis environments are so naturalistic, so close to realism, that you find yourself thinking: "of course, because that's how things are supposed to look." It takes a few moments to step back and really look. I was in a stretch of a forested valley. The sun was shining down on the rocks across the valley, reflecting light with that certain stony gleam that long-polished rocks have about them. Those same sunbeams were filtering through the trees and casting dappled shadows across the exquisitely detailed forest floor. This is that HDR stuff deployed as it was meant to be - with a slight haze that jungles have about them, with the yellow sun dropping beams of light through the waving branches overhead. The jungle was alive. Ahead of me vegetation flicked and moved: enemies approached.

<a ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/pc/crysis/JV35 Haze - PS3 - Oscihedgehog http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps3/haze I bought this gaming half expecting the world of it, Nectar supposedly making you next to invincible and a gigantic array of future tech and weapons. Boy was that a let down... The guns in this are like the difference between teams in strategy games of old- Basically the same but with a few numbers changed and a different paint job (except for the Rebels Flamthrower and gating-esque gun). I got playing and though well perhaps it will be awesome fun, despite the lack of an armoury that a private army would likely have, let alone a government run army. Dissapointed again, the gameplay was somewhat bland, lacking real challenge until you whack it up to hardest when you get slaughtered by mad nectar aimbots...which isnt too fun. The graphics could be pretty, but like all games nowadays they have used that most beutiful palette of brown- grey, but for kicks they added yellow, sparesly dotting it on and around anything Mantel-owned. The multiplayer is better then the single player I would say...but there isnt enough variety, play the same map a few times and you can win it easily enough assuming the other team isnt entirely composed of snipers, which it often is.
Overall a fairly average game, which is a disspointment as it is from the guys who brought us the joy of Timesplitters, as in the review.
Oh well, better luck next time... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/ps3/haze/Oscihedgehog Urbz: Sims in the City, The - PS2 - jong4tv http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps2/the_urbz_sims_in_the_city One word good but not as great other games in the series

The opening to the game is make the game look great as the song called Let's Get started IN Here by The Black Eyed Peas

The Tralier of this game was very big make this game look great if was a add-on to The Sims 1 on PC

The Story : You make your own Sims and start will apartment that you need to use your first power up as guitor use make but before that you choose a place to start in the city first place in the city like Neon Place or Bilker place or the main subway station and any other places in the city. But I was listening to some Norwegian Death Metal and I felt a craving to kill, dismember and cut apart enemies in a violent, button mashing romp. I figured Viking would be the perfect choice, since Vikings are natives to Norway anyway. So I spent my on it and in three days I got bored with it, returned it and kicked myself for wasting $7.00, which can be put to good use like poker or paying off college loans.

While I wasn\'t going to expect much from Viking to begin with, I was surprised as to how poorly it was made. Sure, there was a lot of combat, dismemberment, blood and guts, but overall a lot of the problems stem from what was done to make the game different from other genre favorites like Dynasty Warriors. It is here that Viking tries to blaze a new trail, but fails.

The games biggest sin is the fact that the controls are very obtuse. And while the game tries to be God of War in it\'s retelling of the Norse mythology, it backfires thanks to poor control design. Skarin moves like he has two tons stuck to his ankles, mistakes himself for Solid Snake in poorly designed, trial and error sneaking missions, has simple combo attacks that entail a "press these buttons in sequence rapidly scheme", and his enemies are pretty dumb. You can, eventually, use the Spider Track Ball upgrade to click to ceilings and walls and there are some really cool segments for this yet only a few. You explore each level by needing to use a certain upgrade to get through such as a door needing a certain weapon to open it. From Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo, to Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! on the Nintendo Game Cube, and the ones on the hand held consoles. Under two months ago from the moment I type this, the latest Mario Kart for the Nintendo Wii came up and about. I've been playing it for quite some time, so I've decided to throw out my thoughts.

Mario Kart: Wii is the latest of the Mario franchise, and since it's called Mario Kart: "Wii", obviously this game is all about motion controls. Each copy of Mario Kart: Wii comes with an official Nintendo Wii wheel, a plastic mold you securely and easily put your Wii remote inside of. Thus, using the wheel itself like an actual steering wheel and the motion controls, and that's how you race. At least, one of the methods of racing.

For those who may not enjoy using the Wii wheel/the motion control scheme, they can go back to either a Nintendo Game Cube controller, use a Wii nunchuck and remote, or use a Wii classic controller. The choice for controller type and preference is quite broad.

The Wii motion control scheme accompanied by the wheel however, feels quite good and solid, in my opinion. The 1 button is used to brake/reverse, the 2 button is used to accelerate, the A button is used to look behind you, and the D-Pad controls acquired items. The B trigger controls brakes, and drifting (power sliding, sharp turns etc). Most of it is fairly solid, but occasionally you might accidentally drift the wrong way, which leads to nowhere, and can waste a lot of time and have you getting pushed back in the race. Regardless, the Wii wheel is easy to use, and the Wii's motion control scheme is fairly solid for this title.

So apart from karts, motorbikes have been introduced to the game. So lets begin.

This game pratically put's a condom on all your gaming sensibility, either play it safe, do a lot of waiting, stradegizing, hiding and fight as little as possible through out the whole game, or you can run out into the open and get your ass gang banged in less than 20 seconds, thus making cheat code's mandatory

The camera, it's very, very stubborn, trying to maneuver the camera and the character is *****, plain and simple. These sluggish camera controls basically render your skills as a gamer to the point where simple maneuver's are difficult to control, it's due to this problem alone that you'll find yourself getting killed more than often.

The plot is basically a replica of the movie, you start off fighting your way off the Trade Confederation ship and you end up landing on Nabu where you meet Jar-Jar Bink's whose a complete coward and if he dies while he's aimlessly wandering around in the crossfire you lose and you have to start off from the absolute beginning of the level, not to say that there arent save points or checkpoints, you always have the ability to save in mid game. It's remembering that you have that option that make's the game near impossible to beat.

Basically, in games like this, if your accuracy and timing is off just a little bit, you're ****ed and there's no saving grace beside's the incessant manual reloading you have to do just to try again without falling into a pit and dying.

The controls are stiff as hell, trying to make an accurate jump onto a platform is ... http://www.gamerevolution.com/mreview/sony/star_wars_episode_1_-_the_phantom_menace/Psychopath Peter Jackson's King Kong - PS2 - Cody41393 http://www.gamerevolution.com/member/ps2/king_kong
I'll give it an A-, and I'll tell you why. First off, the gameplay is ship-shape. No life bars or compass's or any of that crap to fill up the screen. You are really immersed into the life of Jack Driscoll as he proceeds through skull island. I'll admit, the levels do get a little repetitive, but most of the levels have their own plot. I've been stuck on the "Find Hayes" level for a while, and with the cheat to unlock all levels, I never would've seen the rest of the game.

In conclusion, the Jack levels are fun, though some repeat themselves to no end. Not so in this game where you play the role of a defense attorney rookie named Phoenix Wright who\'s sole purpose is to prove his clients are not guilty. There\'s reading, and LOTS of it, whether by characters or examination.

First, the game is generally divided into two parts, which are the trials and investigating the crime scene. During the trials, you\'ll listen to everyone\'s views and ideas on the current case and you\'ll seriously have to pay attention. However, sometimes your mind will wander as the text slowly scrolls by and you can\'t exactly go back and reread what you missed. When the prosecution calls a witness to the stand, it\'s up to you to find any contradictions in their testimony. Pressing the witness will usually get more information which may cause that part of the testimony to change details. Presenting evidence at the right time will help reveal more of the truth to the case, but present the wrong one and you lose a mark. Lose all your marks and it\'s a game over. For fun, you can scream HOLD IT! into the mic when pressing and OBJECTION! when you think you found a contradiction. Apparently every witness in the world is a liar because they all seem to be hiding something.

When you\'re not in court, you will be at various locations to find clues to help your case. You can use the touch screen to examine the area for any hidden details, but sometimes this can turn into a pixel hunt since some of the clues can be so damn tiny. You can also talk to people and present various items to them to get more information, but this can also drag on since you will probably have no idea what to present and will try to present every piece of evidence you have until the person recognizes it.
