Peace in the Era of Call of Duty

In a world dominated by violent media, Americans are no more eager to go to war than they were in the 1980s or the 1960s or the 1940s. Hasn't it always been someone else's problem? The overwhelming majority would rather go on thinking it had nothing to do with them and there...

GENERAL GAME PLAY
When you play aaSiege, the screen is always used in portrait mode and is divided into 4 parts or quadrants. There are up to 4 castles on the screen in any game level.

In each quadrant is either empty space or an object.- either a player (represented by a king or queen icon) or some other object of importance to the game.

Each player controls a shield to protect their castle. Human players do this by sliding a control knob from side to side across the full screen width.

During play, a ball bounces continually around the screen. In the most basic game levels the aim is simply to destroy all opponents' kings or queens. You do this by besieging their castles - bouncing the ball off castle bricks (which are usually destructible) and shields and screen edges (which are not) until it breaks through their defences and destroys the king or queen.

You must prevent your king or queen from being destroyed in the same way.

The last player whose monarch is still intact wins.

Some levels get more complicated than this!

YOU’RE IN CONTROL
Many aspects of the general look of the game can be also altered via the iOS settings menu.

There are 3 difficulty settings (easy, medium and aard!). When difficulty is set to aard!, sticky mode is switched on, you can then opt to stick the ball to your shield and release elsewhere rather than simply deflect the ball.

GETTING STARTED
For a gentle introduction into the game, start playing in campaign mode as the first levels are simplest and designed for training.
