Powerful samurai and brave monks face off against barbarians, evil magicians, and deadly ninja in Battle Realms, Liquid's first real-time strategy game. Set in a world of magic and combat, Battle Realms puts the focus where it belongs - on the battlefield!

  • A living world - birds fly out of the trees as your warriors pass beneath, wolves stalk unwary soldiers, and wild horses gallop across the plains. Fire rages and spreads through a village as peasants desperately bring water from a nearby river.

  • A fully 3D world - dense forests, rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, terraced rice fields, crashing waterfalls, and more.

  • Zen Masters - heroes that grow and develop as the player progresses - add personality to your armies. Recruit multiple heroes on each side. From Arah the blind archer to Zymeth, master of lightning and storms, any of the heroes can turn the tide of battle.

  • The innovative resource system makes every choice important - water can make rice grow faster, but rice and water feed both soldiers and horses, while horses are required to train cavalry. Peasants are the glue that holds the Battle Realms economy together as they train to become warriors, gather resources, and capture wild horses.

  • An interconnected "Unit Alchemy" system for training new soldiers. Cross-train your forces through multiple training buildings to make them more powerful. With practice, Archers and Spearman can both become the deadly Dragon Warriors, while any soldier can eventually become a master Samurai.

  • Spend the power of Yin or Yang to upgrade your soldiers, or save the power for your Zen Masters. Earn more power through fighting - in Battle Realms, he who camps is lost!

  • Advanced Combat Engagement AI for both the enemy and your own forces allows units to intelligently react to terrain and distance in combat situations. Archers withdraw to higher ground if assaulted and raiding cavalry seeks out weakened enemies. Soldiers bring primary or secondary weapons to bear according to their opponent's abilities.

  • Up to eight opponents in fast-paced multiplayer action. Play as one of four clans - the noble Dragon, the deadly Serpent, the sinister Lotus, or the barbaric Wolf - and crush your enemies!

  • Seamless integration of a rich story of honor, war, and treachery with gameplay. The battlefield is the story!
