Novaleaf Game Studio will officially release Biology Battle as a launch title of Xbox Live Community Games (XBLCG) on Nov. 19. This will be done alongside Microsoft’s release of the NXE (New Xbox Experience) on the same day.

Biology Battle is a unique take on the classic space shooter genre. Take control of medical nano-bots during its mission inside of its target cell.

The game takes the best aspects of the “shmup” genre, including 360 degree movement and firing, and revolutionizes the action with a truly HD experience, so players can fight off an onslaught of enemies with precision and clarity. Biology Battle’s full version includes single player modes and 10 brand new multiplayer versus games, including Turrets, Survival, Lasso, WireCycle, and Frog Hop. Also, the competitive players can compete online for the highest score.

Biology Battle was developed in XNA at Novaleaf’s headquarters in Bangkok, a non-traditional arena for game developers. It features original artwork and special effects from the collaboration of its designers and developers. “Biology Battle was completed by 4.5 developers in 11 months.” says Jason Swearingen, Novaleaf’s CEO in a Gamasutra interview.
