KONAMI UNLEASHES THE BEASTS ON
PLAYSTATION® 2 WITH BLOODY ROAR® 4

The Latest Sequel in the Most Ferocious 3D Fighting Game Franchise,
Bloody Roar® 4 Brings New Gameplay, Characters, and Modes to the Arena

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Electronic Entertainment Expo Booth #900 - May 14, 2003 - Los Angeles, CA - Konami of America, Inc., a subsidiary of Konami Corporation (NYSE: KNM), today announced that Bloody Roar® 4 will be unleashed on Sony PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system in November 2003. Slashing its way into gamers' living rooms, this unique fighting game brings intriguing all-new elements of gameplay including new characters, storylines, moves and modes. With more ferocious power, speed and style than ever, Bloody Roar® 4 will bring out the animal in gamers.

Battling in nine beautifully rendered and fully interactive stages with any one of 17 fighters, Bloody Roar® 4 takes melee and gore to an unprecedented scale, with brutal power and gut-wrenching moves. The latest installment in the series introduces three new characters to the game's roster of fighters. Gamers will have the ability to transform into mysterious "hyper-beasts," increasing individual player fighting abilities to the max.

Adding to Bloody Roar®'s unique style is a new option to customize the fighters in the "Development Mode." Gamers can modify their favorite character's moves depending on their power and speed. In the "Development Mode," players can rack up "ability points" while fighting and can use them to improve their character's abilities and to acquire their opponents' moves after they've defeated them.
