Dave Mirra Bmx Screenshots

The only game endorsed by BMX freestyle champion Dave Mirra, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX focuses the aggressive spirit and tremendous energy of BMX riding into an accessible, trick-based action game for the Sony PlayStation. Riders are given an open track, a set of tricks, and a bike, and the rest is up to them. The challenge: Take their rider from zero to hero in their very own freestyle BMX career.

Key Features:

  • Be like Dave. Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX is the only BMX game to feature Dave Mirra, reigning BMX freestyle champion. Aspiring pros can play as Dave himself, and ride on all his favorite tracks, or they can compete against Dave as another superstar rider, such as Ryan Nyquist, Kenan Harkin, Chad Kagy, Leigh Ramsdell, Troy McMurray, Mike Laird, Leigh Ramsdell, Joey Garcia, Shaun Butler, or Tim Mirra.

  • Go from "no dough" to "All Pro." Playing as Dave or nine other superstar BMX riders, gamers must guide their character through the game, from showing off their moves in their backyard on a rusty old bike, all the way to the top of the sport, earning clothing, equipment, bike sponsorships and other prizes along the way.

  • No hands, no feet, no problems. Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX features an open trick system, which lets riders start with basic tricks and use modifiers to expand their repertoire. As players progress and their equipment and skill improve, more tricks become possible. Hundreds of different combinations are available, making it truly freestyle.

  • Extreme crashes! Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX's Skeletal Dynamics System (SDS) generates real-time crashes that are different every time. Riders won't just see their crashes, they'll feel them.

  • So many places to ride, so little time. Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX will ship with 12 different levels focused on vert, dirt and street riding, including Camp Woodward's famed "Lot 8," well known as the best indoor park in the world. In addition, there are ten different multiplayer games including B-M-X (a variation of the HORSE basketball game), Longest Grind, Sickest Trick and Gnarliest Crash.

  • Never go "out of bounds." In Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, riders choose their own lines. There are no pre-existing tracks to follow. The game lets riders go where they want to go, explore what they want to explore.

  • Easy to learn, hard to master. Simple, intuitive controls make it easy for anyone to pick up the game, while the increasing level of difficulty and trick complexity make it hard to master.
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX will be released Fall 2000. Pricing has not yet been announced.
