Undercover: Dual Motives - DS Screenshots

reviews previews screens videos cheats faqs downloads

In the recently released PC adventure game Undercover: Operation Wintersun, British physicist Dr. John Russell went on a hunt for a German nuclear bomb in WW2. Now the reluctant spy returns in a prequel to the espionage adventure: on the Nintendo DS, he investigates in a British research facility.

Undercover: Dual Motives is classic point and click adventure gaming on the go, with innovative gameplay made possible by the unique features of the Nintendo DS. In addition to John Russell, players have access to a second playable character, Audrey, the secretary of the facility's director. Using both screens, John and Audrey find clues and solve puzzles. Most of the time, they work separately, the player controlling one at a time.

The characters are controlled with the stylus on the touchscreen, while the other screen shows the currently inactive character. At any time, the player can switch between the two with the push of a button. The player is in charge of cleverly using the abilities of both in order to solving the game's always logical puzzles – whether the two of them are in the same room or separated by a locked door. In addition Undercover uses the possibilities of the Nintendo DS in an innovative way for some exciting mini games. E.g. the blow tube game: The player has to call attention of the deaf professor, Cuttler, by using a blow tube. Aiming with the stylus and shooting at the professor through the window by a sturdy blow into the microphone of the DS – immediately you've got the attention you need.
