GAMEPLAY FEATURES
Gangland is a fast pace arcade style action game that combines the RTS, RPG & SIM genres into a whole new breed.

Living City

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Reactive/Proactive NPC Behavior - All nonplayer characters in Gangland go about doing their daily routines. Driven by their individual needs they are all highly responsive to player actions and changes in the environment.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ In-world News & Gossip í¢â‚¬" Newspaper boys announce all important events. You can listen in on citizens gossiping about general events. Stool pigeons offer vital info about the activities of other players.

Character Building

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Family í¢â‚¬" The main character can marry a woman and have children with her. They will grow up to become powerful leaders and support further expansion of the mafia family.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Rank í¢â‚¬" The main character starts at the bottom and must work his way up in the mafia family.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Experience í¢â‚¬" All characters gain experience from using their skills and weapons and thus become better.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Equipment í¢â‚¬" You can buy new and better weapons and equipment for your characters to boost their performance.

Event-driven Plot

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Event Pool í¢â‚¬" A pool of events ensures a non-linear plot for every map in singleplayer as well as in multiplayer.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Global/Personal Events í¢â‚¬" International Connections offer their services over the phone. Citizens come and ask for favors and will offer their skills in return. The boss will give you orders.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Reactive Events í¢â‚¬" The game will spawn events in reaction to what is happening in the game. Reactive events are spawned for two reasons, to create hotspots in the game and to even the balance a little between players.

Action-driven Combat

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Combat Moves í¢â‚¬" A wide range of special moves makes combat even more intense and feels like FPS action seen from above.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Realistic Line of Fire í¢â‚¬" Realistic line of fire makes it possible to use the environment or other characters for cover during combat.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Skills and Weapons í¢â‚¬" A vast array of weapons and units with special skills, supports great variation in combat.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Fast and easy UI í¢â‚¬" The UI is simplified and optimized to high pace decision making.

Arcade Style Game Modes

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Arcade Game Flow í¢â‚¬" The singleplayer game flow offers conquests and challenges that open for access to new maps, units and weapons.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Highscores í¢â‚¬" Highscores for every map in both singleplayer and multiplayer keep track on victories and killsí¢â‚¬™ní¢â‚¬™skills. The introduction of multiplayer highscores for both teams and individuals on LAN & Internet contributes to a high level of re-playability.

Subversive Gameplay

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Hideí¢â‚¬™ní¢â‚¬™Seek í¢â‚¬" A realistic 180 degree vision for each character makes it possible to sneak up on your target. Hide in alleys or inside buildings as means to create an ambush. Some characters use stealth in order to get past enemies without being seen.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Infiltration í¢â‚¬" Use infiltrators to get inside the families of other players.

Active Resources

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Liquor & Stolen Goods í¢â‚¬" Distilleries and Pawnshops provide the player with liquor and stolen goods. These resources can be used to enhance income from certain businesses or traded through international connections for vehicles, weapons and special units.

í¢â‚¬Â¢ Ammo & Medkits í¢â‚¬" Ammo and Medkits are used actively in combat. Make sure you have steady supplies of ammo and medkits. Running out of one of these resources during a shootout can be fatal.
