MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, - October 27, 2008 - Xibalba Studios, an independent video game developer based in Monterrey, Mexico, publicly unveiled its debut video game, Icebreakers™, at the Electronic Game Show in Mexico City. Icebreakers™ packs rich stylized visuals all in high definition; a totally “COOL” cast of characters, an addictive online and offline multiplayer experience and above all a fun and easy to learn game play. Icebreakers™ will freeze the competition on the PC in 2009.

The dazzling visual style and graphics of Icebreakers™ are made possible by the use of Trinigy GmbH’s Vision Engine, a powerful and flexible 3D engine. The Vision Engine forms the basis of numerous AAA game titles around the world. “During the early stages of development we realized that the Vision Engine will allow us to bring our original idea of Icebreakers to reality,” said Ricardo Villarreal, founder and CEO of Xibalba Studios. “Additionally, the Vision Engine is compatible with Wii®, Xbox360® and PLAYSTATION®3, allowing a smooth cross-platform workflow; this will let us bring Icebreakers to the next generation of home consoles in the future.”

Icebreakers™ immerses players in a new fast-paced extreme winter sport. The kids in town are ready for some action and it is up to you to help each one become the champion. Use multiple items and your vehicles’ unique abilities to get the upper hand in intense online multiplayer matches or compete in 4 player split-screen with your friends. Multiple game modes and a compelling story mode combine to produce a completely refreshing experience that players of all ages can enjoy.
