Funk of Titans Review
It’s always particularly tough to find the funk of a game when it already doesn’t have much rhythm.

I wish I could claim some mastery over this topsy-turvy classic starring elf boy who saves princess. Predictable, right?

Finally Broke My Crowdfunding Rule
By oblivion437
Posted on 01/12/15
I've had a long-standing rule to avoid getting involved in any sort of crowdfunded activities.  I didn't donate to Shadowrun or Wasteland, but I did buy and enjoy both of them (I'm plugging both of those games right now, just so you know they're good).  I haven't...

Publisher: Rockstar Games
Developer: Angel Studios
Release Date: October 26, 2000

In the dark streets of New York City, the drivers of a cab and tricked-out sports car find themselves side by side. You are the driver of the cab. When the sports car takes off, go ahead and race him on public streets in heavy traffic! If you keep up, he'll pull over and introduce himself and the Midnight Club to which he belongs. From this moment on, running red lights, driving on the sidewalk, and trying to outrun the cops becomes a nightly thrill.

Your first victory in a group Midnight Club race earns you membership in the Club. One of the benefits of membership is the right to challenge other members head-to-head. Defeating better opponents wins you faster cars, until you beat the best guy in the Big Apple and earn the title of City Champion.

The challenge escalates as you and the former NYC City Champion head to London. New, more challenging opponents and races meet you...until you win them all and find yourself grill to grill with the mysterious and undefeated Midnight Club World Champion...

Midnight Club brings to the PlayStation 2 the action of high speed driving and adventure through two major cities in the world. The concept behind this game derives from the real world "Midnight Clubs," in which illegal races actually take place on urban streets. Along with the racing action, colorful characters give faces, personalities, and unique driving styles to your opponents.

The core gameplay consists of 39 races, most of which involve high speed maneuvering against a barrage of opponents through completely open city streets. Living life in the insane lane, escaping the law, and accumulating an arsenal of vehicles add to the allure and gravity of road racing. The true openness of the cities, accurate car physics, and responsive controls complete the package.
